Elijah Lloyd, a city resident, is believed to have robbed and sexually assaulted the woman Wednesday, May 10 when she entered a business on West Side Avenue around 8:25 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Jersey City Police Department with the investigation and arrest and multiple units of the Hudson
County Prosecutor’s Office for their assistance in the investigation. Prosecutor Suarez commends
Jersey City Police Officers Isaac Holmes and Michael DeBari – both of the Citywide Burglary Unit – swiftly identified Lloyd, who was charged with kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault, robbery, terroristic threats, and theft, Suarez said.
